The Spring 2026 edition of the Lisp Game Jam starts on Friday, May 15th! It’s a 10 day game jam where participants make a game with any flavor of Lisp they want. Since I co-host this jam and also work at Spritely, I’d like to encourage you to try making a game using Hoot!
If you’re interested in participating, we maintain a template repository with an example Breakout clone to get you hacking on your game quickly.
Additionally, here are some games we’ve made in the past with Hoot:
- Goblinville (multiplayer, requires running your own server so not easy to just pick up and play)
- Cirkoban (single player, easy to play)
- Strigoform (single player, the first game ever made with Hoot)
Source code is available for all the above.
I hope some of you out there join in! Happy hacking!
